Rev. Marcia Free

Rev. Marcia Free is recently retired as the Director of Counseling and Pastoral Care for the Knoxville Center for Reproductive Health.  She is the Volunteer Director for the Institute for Interfaith Relationships.  As an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ in support of the congregations she has served, she has had many opportunities to be involved with community-wide efforts in bringing peace and justice to communities she has served.   Her service has been recognized by the Police Department in Baldwinsville, NY, the United Way in Huntsville, AL the Weekly Planet of Tampa FL, the Human Rights Task Force, the Greater Tampa Bay Pride Organization, and H.O.P.E., a faith-based grass roots organization.  Her Masters of Divinity Degree is from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, and she completed a residency in Clinical Pastoral Education with SHARP Health Care Services in San Diego, CA.  Rev. Free is married to Dr. Fred Martinson, a retired professor of History of Buddhism.  She has 3 children 2 son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren and is delighted to join the PATHWAYS faculty as a facilitator.
